PRAYING FOR: EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST
Bob and Carol Cave
Overseas Ministry Coordinator for Europe and the Middle East
Pray for them as they lead us
So much has happened this past year I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's praise reports. Our personal praise reports are simply how the Lord has led us each step of 2006 especially in knowing His ever near presence. Asking and receiving Holy Spirit leading in ministry from one country to the next. Carol and I thank the Lord for our health even down to little aches and pains.
Then I hear our missionaries praise reports and I think how blessed we really are to work with you and hear what God is doing on each of your fields.
Can I give you some thoughts for all of us via Oswald Chambers for year end. He talks about security in the Lord:
Security from yesterday.....God requires an account of what is past ( Ecclesiastes 3:15) God is the God of our yesterdays, and He allows the memory of them to turn the past into a ministry of spiritual growth for our future. God reminds us of the past to protect us from a very shallow security in the present.
Security of Tomorrow: "The Lord will go before you".. Isaiah 52:12 God will send His forces out where we have failed to do so. He will keep watch so that we will not be tripped up again by the same failures, as would undoubtedly happen if He were not our "rear guard". And God's hand reaches back to the past, settling all claims against our conscience.
Security of Today: "you shall not go out with haste......" As we go forth in the coming year, let it not be in the haste of impetuous, forgetful delight, nor with the quickness of impulsive thoughtlessness. But let us go out with the patient power of knowing that the God of Israel will go before us. Let the past rest, but let it rest in the sweet embrace of Christ.
Let the broken, irreversible past in His hands, and step out into the invincible future with Him.
Love to all our missionaries........Bob & Carol

PRAY FOR: NORTHWEST EUROPE
Harold & Kathleen Presley IPHC
- UK and NW Europe~
New Life for the Old World ~
Regional Ministry Coordinator for Northwest Europe
Thank you all for your prayers and camaraderie. Kathleen and I are so very grateful to be serving the Lord in Europe and among such a great group of leaders.
God has been very good to us. We have some tangible evidence; financial needs meet, many new pastors, faithfulness among the members, souls saved. But, more important is the witness in our hearts of His faithfulness and goodness.
Personal prayer requests:
Ø Bethany’s college bill. Give us this day our daily bread…and there’s more required each day!
Ø Nicholas’ housing and jobs. He is doing well, but trying to settle into a couple of jobs that are suitable, and looking for his own place to live. That’s in Wales.
Ministry Prayer Requests:
Ø Pakistani church in East London to grow through conversions.
Ø Church-planting effort in Sutton to solidify…more salvations… more home groups.
Ø Wisdom and workers to focus on strategic places in NW Europe.
Ø Wales: growth in two church plants, and more to begin.
Ø Church-based Bible Schools to really take off in UK.
Ø Pastor Obeng-Marnu in Ealing: financial provision as he takes steps to go full-time with multiple church-plants.

Amsterdam Matt and Femke Helland
A very blessed New Year to everyone!
We have a lot to be thankful for....we have just done our Christmas outreaches and to our Christmas celebration we had about 45 people come...!! There were three Muslims that came. In our outreach for Hispanics we had 15 people in our home for dinner, and Matt has already done Bible study with a group of them. Thank God for our team, of 3 other couples. It was awesome to see everybody's commitment.
We ask your prayers in the follow up process with all the visitors; we want to build relationships with the people who came. Pray that God will begin to touch their hearts...pray that they will be open for a follow up visit. Pray for wisdom as we deal with peoples emotional and spiritual needs.
Pray for the Muslims, that attended to the meeting; that God would begin to open their eyes to the truth.
Also pray with us for a location that we can have services in.
Once again, everyone is welcome to come and pray and fast with us here in Amsterdam on January 9th (IPHC's global day of Prayer and Fasting).
Baby Hannah is doing wonderful. She is 6 weeks old, and she is just a beautiful little girl.
Thank God for blessing us with her this year!

Portugal Tony and Patti Guasco
Here at Nova Vida things are going well. We have had a salvation and infilling of the Holy Spirit. We ask that you pray for Guido & Stephania (the owners of the house where we hold church), they need a financial breakthrough. We will need a new place to hold church within a few months because of the growth, so as you can image we too need financial breakthroughs. On that subject our oldest Child, Alisa is in Bible school in Dallas and she needs $1,000 dollars this month in order to finish this semester - not to mention she needs $5,000 more to finish school completely.
Our church here in Lisbon is trying to get registered with the government so we ask for prayers for this as well.
All in all we are doing well and God is really showing up in the services and pray meetings. The people are being challenged and some are growing by leaps and bounds. It’s wonderful to see the growth in their lives.
Love to all, Tony & Patti

Malta Pastor Joe Agius
Our prayer request is the following:
Please pray that the Lord’s Spirit prepare the hearts of the Maltese to receive the gospel. We are starting a series of evangelical meetings in the streets of the Maltese towns and cities.
Please pray that we receive the permits necessary to have the outreaches. Permits or not we are still going out but we wish to do things in order.
Please pray for the revival in the church to continue and that it becomes a huge fire.
Please pray for the young people in the church to remain true to the Lord.
Thanks so much for praying.
God bless Pastor Joe

My praise report is that when I was in London with Harold and
Kathleen Presley I gave one of my Buried Lies workshops at the Fountain of Life church.
The people received so easily, they were so open, and many
lies were exposed and eliminated, planting the truth instead. It was
exhilarating for me to hear their testimonies afterwards.
My request is that this prayer process continue to bless people everywhere,
as everyone needs to get rid of the lies in their lives.
Please pray for the distribution of my workbook, Buried Lies Companion
Workbook, as it is a stand alone book that leads people to the root of a lie
and directs them to successfully pull it out by the root and plant the truth
in the place of the lie.
Another praise report is that the number of radio stations has grown from 28
to 48. Please pray that the Lord would provide a high speed CD duplicator
as each station requires its own CDs to be sent and that's a lot of manual
labor hovering over my little laptop.
Blessings to all,
Happy New Year!

Eastern Europe
Dave and Linda Fannin
Regional Ministry Coordinator for Eastern Europe/ Middle East
We have a praise report and a request for continued prayer for this newsletter! We thank the Lord that He has been with us while the riots and demonstrations in Hungary raged on during the months of August through October. At one point we did not know if it was going to be possible for our church planting and ministry teams to come to Hungary because of the circumstances prevailing! Dave was told by our OMC Bob Cave that the WMM was concerned whether or not, "the Fannins should be evacuated out of Hungary".
Praise God that did not result. Many of the Christians wanted us to be a part of the demonstrations taking place especially in down town Budapest. Christians felt that they should be represented and that their voices should be heard. We declined their offer stating that we are here as missionaries and that although we understood their plight, it would not be good for the mission cause in the country for us to participate. Perhaps, it would even have made it harder for Christianity in this country if we were to be involved and be arrested. We assured them that we stood by them in their trial at this point in History. Continue to pray for Hungary. We are told that the problem is not over and that more demonstrations will take place after the holiday season. The enemy is not happy with the Christian community in Hungary... please keep our people in your prayers. The main problem is that the president lied to the people of Hungary and they want him to step down and he refuses. Eighteen out of nineteen districts called for him to step down and he refuses. The conflict is on going.
We thank God also that a Christian library here in Budapest has donated over two hundred books free of charge to our reading room.
The young men and women are already signing out books. What better way to approach these very cultured people than through what concerns them most ,"BOOKS" and "INFORMATION".
God bless all our dear missionary co-workers!
Dave and Linda Fannin

Praying for Romania
Ben and Marianne Janssen
Eastern Europe:
Praise report: Last week was the first class of the CICM Romania Institute. Twenty-five students are enrolled and studied "Spiritual Disciplines" The students were on fire about the subjects discussed and we see a start of better leadership in our Romanian churches.
Prayer request: As the economy in Romania starts to rise to European standards and the salaries remain at the previous levels, many of our IPHC church members suffer financially. Pray for them as they try to survive and are looking to God for help in these difficult circumstances.
Blessings to you all from Ben and Marianne Janssen

Happy New Year
We pray that this coming year will be blessed of God and that He would grant unto you the desires of your heart as you delight yourself in Him.
The last few months I, David, have been going through a real time. I think I'm near the end of trying to keep my nose above water but would covet your prayers. Also, We leave in the next couple weeks to go to North America to itinerate for 2 months so please pray that God would supply all that is necessary for our ministry here and in the Philippines. Also we have had two of our three vehicles break down, one with a blown motor. We are in need of newer better vehicles.
God bless. In His Service.
